Finely modelled in biscuit porcelain, this French figure reflects the elegance of the Belle Époque, with delicate hand-painted polychrome decoration and exceptional attention to detail. The expressive facial features, finely moulded lacework, richly coloured roses and graceful period costume demonstrate the quality of French decorative porcelain produced at the turn of the twentieth century.
Although unmarked, the modelling, decoration and overall craftsmanship are entirely consistent with French porcelain of the period.
Standing 32 cm (12.6 inches) high, the figure is presented in excellent collector's condition, free from chips, cracks, or restoration.
