One of those Aynsley collections in which classic English luxury is particularly beautifully expressed. Made from fine English bone china, the service combines a rich, deep cobalt blue with lavish gilding — a timeless and particularly elegant pairing.

Each piece is finished with a delicate gold frieze, while the outer rim features a striking broad band of raised gilding. Gold accents the feet and elegant handles of the cups, while the contrast between pristine white porcelain, deep cobalt and luminous gold gives the service an unmistakably formal appearance.

The exceptional condition is one of its greatest strengths. Dark cobalt decoration tends to reveal even the slightest signs of use, yet here it remains with an almost mirror-like depth and lustre, while the gilding is beautifully preserved. Judging by the condition, the service appears to have seen little or no use.
