Exceptionally elegant collector’s coffee sets by Aynsley, made from fine English porcelain of remarkable delicacy — exceptionally thin and almost eggshell-like.
The rare soft lemon-yellow ground is enriched with intricate gilded decoration, fine gilding along the gently scalloped rim and elaborate ornamentation to the saucers.
The most distinctive feature is the beautifully pierced sterling silver cup holders, made in England from 925 standard silver. Particularly striking is the three-dimensional putti decoration, modelled almost as miniature silver sculpture.
