A magnificent Royal Crown Derby collector’s tea trio in the legendary Pattern 1128 Old Imari — one of the manufactory’s most recognisable and luxurious designs.
The cup is in one of the most striking Royal Crown Derby shapes, the Avon. Its wide, open form is complemented by an elegant shaped handle and a tall, richly moulded foot with a softly scalloped edge, reminiscent of a miniature full skirt.
The decoration is exceptionally rich and detailed. Elaborate painted ornament and lavish gilding cover not only the exterior of the cup but also the entire interior. Deep cobalt blue, coral-red accents and luminous gold create the unmistakable character of Royal Crown Derby Old Imari.
