An elegant English cabinet plate decorated with an exceptional hand-painted landscape and richly gilded ornamentation. A fine example of early twentieth-century English decorative porcelain, combining refined craftsmanship with accomplished porcelain painting.
The deep cobalt-blue ground is enriched with a combination of hand-applied gilding, including an intricate foliate frieze, a broad matt-gilt border, and raised gilt decoration around the rim. The central reserve features a beautifully executed mountain lake landscape, painted in the finest tradition of English porcelain artists of the period.
The reverse retains its original impressed factory mark, consistent with production circa 1900–1915.
Measuring 23.5 cm (9.25 inches) in diameter, the plate is presented in excellent collector's condition, with only minimal signs of age.
