FRANKLIN PORCELAIN "THE WOODLAND BIRD VASE" BY BASIL EDE | 1981
£95.00
A finely crafted collector's vase issued by Franklin Porcelain in 1981 as part of the celebrated Woodland Bird collection. The decoration is based on the original artwork of the renowned British wildlife artist Basil Ede, internationally recognised for his exceptionally accurate and beautifully observed ornithological illustrations.
Executed in fine white porcelain, the vase is decorated with a detailed depiction of a European Goldfinch among blossoming apple branches. The design was produced using a high-quality underglaze transfer process, kiln fired for permanence and enhanced with delicate hand-applied gilding around the rim, resulting in remarkable clarity, depth, and lasting colour.
The underside bears the original Franklin Porcelain backstamp together with the model title, facsimile signature of Basil Ede, Limited Edition designation, and the ©1981 date, confirming the authenticity of the piece.
The vase stands 29 cm (11.4 inches) high and is presented in exceptional collector's condition, free from chips, cracks, or signs of age. Accompanied by its original Certificate of Authenticity and documentation.
