An increasingly sought-after limited edition Rose Plate No. 1 by Coalport, inspired by original early nineteenth-century designs and produced in a worldwide edition of just 1,000 pieces. This beautiful example is individually numbered 254/1000.
Executed in the finest English bone china, the plate is decorated with a rich cobalt-blue ground framing an elegant floral composition, enhanced by sumptuous raised gilding. Applied by hand in successive layers, the relief gilding creates exceptional depth and catches the light beautifully, giving the decoration its distinctive richness and character.
Measuring 27.5 cm (10.8 inches) in diameter, the plate is presented in excellent collector's condition.
