PAIR OF ANTIQUE WINE DECANTERS
£450.00
England, late 19th – early 20th century
A spectacular pair of antique wine glasses made of thick, heavy English crystal with high-quality hand-cut facets.
The bodies of the vessels are decorated with an intricate geometric cut pattern, creating a beautiful play of light and emphasising the crystal's transparency. The base is made in the form of a star with a radial cut — a characteristic detail of high-quality English production.
The upper part, elegant handles and lids are made of silver metal (silver plating), with expressive relief decoration in the style of the late Victorian/Edwardian period. Smooth lines, floral motifs and the plastic form of the handles give the items a special elegance and status.
